The Personal Care Aide (PCA) course will allow you to learn a variety of nursing skills such as taking vital signs, providing personal care, communicating with patients and other health care team members, and assisting patients with activities of daily living. This team member is an important part of the health care team. This course is a great stepping stone and provides hands-on practice needed to become a prepared nurse, medication aide or tech, or Physician Assistant.
After successful completion of this course students may work as a Personal Care Aide in an assisted living, in-home care, or a family care home. No state exam required after the completion of this course.
Our 80 course is approved by the North Carolina division of Health Service Regulation.
